This document describes how the Lead Capture journey system sends custom events to Facebook/Meta Pixel. Events are fired automatically when users submit form steps in a journey, provided the journey is configured with a Pixel ID.

Meta Events Manager Setup

Step 1: Find Your Pixel ID

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager

  2. Select your Data Source (your Pixel) from the left sidebar

  3. Click Settings tab

  4. Copy the Pixel ID (numeric, e.g., 1234567890123456)

Step 2: Configure the Journey

Make sure to choose names for each funnel step in your Journeys that correspond to the specific conversion events that you want to track. I.e. For the step where a lead fills in their phone and email, you could call it “Demand IQ Lead” for the calendar booking step you could call it something like “Demand IQ Appointment”

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that changing the step names after the funnel is setup will stop your events from tracking! Always double check that your events are properly showing up in your Meta business manager after changing the names.

  1. Open your journey in Demand IQ

  2. Go to Tracking settings

  3. Paste Pixel ID into Facebook Pixel ID and save changes.

  4. Publish the journey

Step 3: Verify Events Are Firing

While verifying make sure you turn off any ad blockers
