1. Navigate to the HVAC Calculator Settings

• Go to Settings in your dashboard.
• Click on the new tab labeled “HVAC Calculator.”

2. Set Up System Sizing Calculations

Cooling Sizing (Tonnage)

• Use Square Feet per Ton to calculate system size.

• Formula:

  Home Size (sqft) ÷ Square Feet per Ton = Estimated Tonnage

  Example: 2000 sqft ÷ 500 sqft/ton = 4-ton system

• Customize this value based on your region and climate.

Heating Sizing (BTUs)

• Uses BTU per Square Foot, and distinguishes between gas and electric systems.

• Formula:

  Home Size (sqft) × BTU per Square Foot = Estimated BTUs

  Example: 2000 sqft × 50 BTU/sqft = 100,000 BTUs

• Again, adjust values based on your service area.

3. Configure System Types and Installed Prices

Enable HVAC System Types

• Toggle ON the systems you offer, such as:
  • Split AC + Gas Furnace (common)
  • Heat Pump
  • Mini Split, etc.
