This document outlines the required steps to configure Google Tag Manager (GTM) so that journey step submission events are correctly sent to Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

(Prerequisites) Step 1:

All event names must be written in snake case i.e. “Call Booked” should be written as “call_booked”

If events contain spaces or capital letters, this will not work!

Before starting, ensure:

• A GA4 property already exists
• Add ( this will be very helpful in checking everything is working correctly)
• *** turn off ad blockers if you have any on!
• You have access to Google Tag Manager
• You know your GA4 Measurement ID (starts with G-)

Step 1: Add GTAG to your Journey

Add to your Journey under the tracking tab

Hit publish

Step 2: Confirm Events Are Firing

Open the journey either hosted or on your site
