Deploying chat on your website is very straightforward. This is great for organic traffic and for making your website more interactive.

Demand IQ has button options for you out of the box that will launch your chat, but you can always create your own buttons too (If you don’t know how to create a custom button; don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!).

Embed the Journey scripts on your web page

Step 1: Select the Journey you want to embed

Step 2: Go to the share tab

Step 3: Select embed in a website section

Step 4: Select Chat

Step 5: Enter the url of the website you want to deploy the journey on into the ‘Embed URL’ section

Step 6: Copy the code from the instructions menu and paste the code snippet into your pages head tags of your website builder

<aside> 🗒️ The exact location of your head code script is different for each website builder. To find it you should be able to google ‘<your website builder> custom head tags’ EX: “Where can I embed custom code into the head tags on Wordpress?”

Optional: Enable the Demand IQ Chat launcher

Toggle the ‘Enable Chat Launcher’ button Click publish.

Optional: Use a custom button to launch chat

Step 1: Find your Journey ID and add it into the button code below where it says ‘YOUR_JOURNEY_ID_HERE’

You can find your journey id in the url in your browser, or in the code snippet in the instructions.
